Precise control of fuel and combustion air can result in very high efficiencies lower fuel costs. The AFS Total Control System optimizes the boiler lead/lag operation by monitoring the rate of change in steam pressure which allows multiple boilers to work together efficiently to achieve system set points. Reduces boiler on-off cycling due to system-load-management and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by maintaining proper air-to fuel ratios.

 

Through the AFS Total Control System, the operator is given a dashboard view of all the devices and processes relative to the operation of the boiler. From the main operator’s view, all points of the system are visible and can be easily accessed and controlled. If an issue arises, the system automatically contacts your Operator so constant oversight isn’t necessarily required. Bottom line – the average system administrator spends 2-4 hours per week caring for the biomass system!
